Vein Treatment

Spider veins most commonly appear on the legs, but can also show up on your face. As we age, our existing veins can become much more noticeable. There is a simple solution to this problem. Sclerotherapy is a cosmetic procedure that utilizes a sclerosing solution that causes the vein to decompose, shrink, and eventually disappear.

Sclerotherapy was developed over 75 years ago and is currently one of the most popular treatments for spider and varicose veins.

You will be examined by one of our nurses, who will determine treatment strategy. The sclerosing agent will then be injected into the veins by a physician. Discomfort is minimal and no anesthesia is required. The procedure can take 30-45 minutes. You will need to wear support hose for 2 weeks after treatment.

Gradual improvement will be noticed. Depending upon the types of veins, a combination of different treatment modalities may be suggested. Several treatments may be required to achieve optimum results. In some cases as few as 2-3 treatments will suffice.
